Celebrating 40+ years of design & support for the symphony!
The Richmond Symphony League is thrilled to announce our 20th Designer Show House. This custom designed home, built in 1987, is located at 3937 Old Gun Road West in the historic Bellona Arsenal neighborhood. The home spans 8,003 square feet and includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and sits on 25 beautifully landscaped acres overlooking the James River.
The designers will begin work in March of 2026 and will have one month to perform their magic. In April, the public will be wowed and inspired by the transformation! We welcome you to come see how the area’s most talented interior designers transform this premier property to raise funds for the Richmond Symphony.

The Gala Opening Party is scheduled for April 10, 2026.
This RSL hosted event will include a cocktail party, music by the John Winn Quintet and a preview of the house.
Tickets will be available for purchase at richmondsymphonyleague.org starting in November.
The 2026 Designer Show House will be open to the public from April 14 through May 10, 2026.
Join us for this spectacular month-long event, where you'll have the opportunity to admire the stunning architecture,
interior design, and landscaping while supporting the Richmond Symphony's important mission.
The Designer Show House will be closed for tours on Mondays.

OUR SIGNATURE FUNDRAISER
The Richmond Symphony League Designer House is our signature fundraiser. Started in 1984, the RSL has sponsored the Designer House every other year to raise money for the Richmond Symphony. For each Designer House, the RSL selects a large host home for the event and then invites local designers to compete for the opportunity to decorate one of the 20 to 30 spaces inside and outside the home, donating their time and materials. The Designer House month long event features daily general admission tours, an on-site café and a boutique where local artisans sell items like clothing, jewelry, accessories, home goods, stationery and crafts.

Founded in 1958, the RSL supports the growth and development of the Richmond Symphony. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership organization, dedicated volunteers develop robust programs and activities that contribute to Richmond’s cultural vibrancy and cultivate music appreciation and education among Richmond’s diverse community. The RSL provides consistent, substantial financial support to the Richmond Symphony through annual fundraising.
